Corsica 2010

We are indeed fortunate to have Jackie Fadda, a MAS student, to show us the beauty of Corsica through the eyes of someone who makes her home there. She and her family own Restaurant chez Laurent in Porto-Vecchio, as well as a Villa, which will be one of our homes away from home. We will paint on location for a full 10 days, with a 3-day break midway to enjoy and sight-see. Each Thursday, MAS will host a "wine and dine" critique. Our stay will be in beautiful accommodations with individual or couple rooms and beds, kitchens, laundry, modern facilities and incredible vistas. The total cost of workshop and accommodations is $1,450, not including airfare.

Note! Those travelers (spouses/partners/friends) not taking the workshop will pay $550 for the total stay and will be included in all MAS-sponsored dinners, events and rental cars.

Most of you, including Jane and Dorallen, would prefer to stay longer, or arrive earlier. As such, we though it best not to "do" a group airfare rate, but have researched for you the best rates at this time. Note! Nothing will fly directly into Corsica -- you must take a ferry or fly from Paris. Note! We will be getting group rates for our cars in Corsica.

Airfare costs at this time: SFO to Nice, France to Bastia, Corsica roundtrip is $1,325. On the return there is a forced overnight in Nice, and we have found a good hotel right near the airport for $125 double occupancy. Important here...you may use your own sources or Annelaure at Just Travel, 415-209-9490. We have always used Annelaure and have always been thankful for her wonderful care. Included in the workshop/guest price and beginning in April, is a monthly MAS-hosted dinner and wine party to talk, plan and get to know our traveling companions. A deposit of $300 is due February 26th, with payments due April 15th ($400), June 15 ($500) and September 1 ($250).
